What is Polaris Laser?
Polaris Laser
Polaris is a non-surgical facial and body tightening treatment. The Polaris Laser Lift uses a laser combined with radio-frequency energy and pulsed light.
This advanced system incorporates three forms of energy to improve skin texture and skin colour. This causes the collagen to contract and tighten as well as reducing redness and brown blotches. Each treatment is customised through the system's computer to control the depth and degree of the heating process.
The laser and radio technology is similar to that of IPL, however, Polaris Laser treatment penetrates deeper and is more effective.
How It Works
The Polaris system generates gentle pulses of two types of energies; the diode laser energy smoothes the surface of the skin, while the combination of laser and radio-frequency penetrates to the deeper dermis, tightening skin laxity from within. This unique energy matrix operating at multiple levels in the skin allows for real results.
Polaris treatments have been effective on the body as well as the face. Polaris Skin Tightening can be used on the stomach and can also be used effectively to tighten loose skin on the arms, thighs and buttocks. This treatment is for all skin types.
The Results
Some patients see results immediately. For most patients the results are gradual and may take up to 6 months as the skin tightens and more new collagen is formed. Results may last anything from a few months to a few years. As the aging process continues you may want to go back for another session
The Side Effects
Polaris Skin Tightening is less painful than similar techniques, such as Thermage or Titan. You will feel some discomfort. A cooling machine is used during the treatment to minimise this. A Polaris-Laser Lift can be performed with topical aesthetic cream applied about an hour before your treatment if required.
Recovery Time
You may experience temporary redness, itching and/or swelling in the treated area, but this typically lasts a very short time. Most people can apply cosmetics and return to work or normal activity immediately after treatment.
After Care
You should avoid sun exposure and tanning (including artificial tanning products and procedures) before and after your treatments. An SPF of 30 or higher should be used on treatment areas before and after the procedure.
